I initially started a WordPress log, but thought I needed something more. Specifically, I wanted to start a separate blog for family and friends that wasn’t meant to be shared with everyone else. Squarespace provided an excellent way of grouping users into “audiences” and then picking which audience had what permissions on each page. Squarespace is also a hosted service, so you don’t have to install anything or worry about making sure your site is up.
Turns out that I really don’t need that much control. Its hard for me to justify the cost of Squarespace, especially since I have some technical skills. But if you are looking for an easy to use, very nice looking blog + cms tool, I recommend Squarespace!
